Apparently Palantir is orchestrating Canada’s legislation as well. Which means your leadership has taken dipshit lessons from ours.

    And Palantir lobby money, probably.

I’ve been warning people, it isn’t just the USA… Don’t get me wrong, this place is pretty much the worst, but they’ve got their paws on a bunch of countries right now. Its also the part that the media never covers in regards to epstein, he and bannon legit came up with most of the plans to implement authoritarianism worldwide. Starting w/ Brexit as a test run for manipulation with social media.

Retention of metadata may not even be considered a search or seizure, it’s unclear to me how likely it is that it might be declared “reasonable”, taking it to the supreme court would require many years of work during which irreparable harm would be done, and whichever parts of the law were struck down it’s likely that others would stand — and every part of it is irredeemable.

The whole bill is so blunt, crude, and stupid that I think there’s hope that it might be somehow arranged that it gets stuck in committee until it’s forgotten about.

No it is Canadian courts where the supreme court judges no longer wear those cute red dresses, they have some new lighter ones.

We can pretend the internet is t dead, but the internet is dead.

Thankfully the government can’t force private communication to give up the keys to their encryption, so if you’re willing to do it manually, this legislation does nothing except make you a p2p criminal. And allegedly I’ve been a p2p criminal since the 90s.
