The issues on the farm from what I remember were: No quarantine zones for sick animals. The Ostriches had access to shared resources with numerous wild animals like water sources. The people on the farm were not wearing the proper protective gear when handling the animals. The animals were not isolated from contact with visitors.
What exactly were those issues again? I was under the impression it was simply an abundance of caution to stop the spread of avian flu?
