WASHINGTON—Putting the nation on alert against what it has described as a “highly credible terrorist threat,” the FBI announced today that it has uncovered a plot by members of al-Qaeda to sit back and enjoy themselves while the United States collapses of its own accord.
The US are still completely unassailable militarily and economically. But a few spicy memes did the trick.
still regurgitating the same tired old nationalist propaganda. Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq: are these evidences of “unassailable” military might? just looking at one indicator, how is the dollar doing these days, comparatively speaking?
Unassailable as in “nobody can realistically attack them on their own territory”.
9/11 was what then? A friendly hello?
A friendly hello from Mossad maybe.
Fair enough. At least, nobody seems willing to try.
Geography alone makes an invasion of the US mainland practically impossible. No army in the world has the means to even try. I mean the Canadians and Mexicans could, but that’s a bit of a stretch.
Incorrect. The U.S. Army has the means to try.
That would be tough because many or most people living close to the borders tend to see the people on the immediate other side of the border as friends, relations, allies.
Well, North and South Korea used to be one country. Shit can change. Especially if you have the money and power of nation states behind you as you push for war.
What happened to those two F18 hornets bombing Yemen again?
For now.
America has lost most of the wars it was involved in since world war 2. Operation Desert Storm is the only thing I can think that was a success from it’s intended goals.
We can’t even win a war against drugs, a non-sapient set of objects.
I meant an invasion of the US mainland.
