    It’s more widespread now thanks to the refusal of corporations and their owned politicians to allow any increase to the federal minimum wage.

      It’s such a fucking scam. Not only do they rely on the government to subsidize the wages of their employees, but they also then turn around and spend that money at Walmart.

        The reason for the second half of that should be pretty obvious… Walmart tends to have lower prices thus allowing their employees to buy more, yes it is usually cheaper, in both meanings of the term, but it is what they can afford on their shit pay.
