The companies have their standard “AI isn’t perfect take the information with grain of salt” bullshit disclaimer but I don’t see how that makes the current laws of libel, slander, and defamation any less relevant.
I just don’t think anyone had bothered sueing anyone yet for these companies to figure out the risk they are actually taking.
The law needs to be updated to hold companies responsible for their AI bullshit.
