I’ve got it rigged up so I can swap between 2 fits - a fleet fit with remote reps and a 1600mm plate, and a solo roaming fit that’s 100mn active rep. I also have an expanded probe fit that is kind of hilarious for hunting/suspect baiting in HS (and you can do something similar with the Draugur too)
Nice, Ive only flown that ship a few times, it feels much to similar to the Orthrus after it was released. Space Lambo that only really shines after you throw money at its fit.
Something too nice to drive for serious business, perfect for messing around in safe space with the nerd herd.
oh yeah it’s not hard to hit 1B in the Draugur by just going “well, it could be a liiiiiitle faster with this upgrade, and then it could be tankier, an extra few km on the warp disruptor would be nice…”
I never liked flying expensive ships. Trained logi V but even those felt a bit rich, T1 cruisers is about the most expensive I liked to fly. But each time I go back to the game there are vast periods of nothing to do. No fleets running, there is one later but I am going to bed by then so another uneventful day.
Not a fan of solo PvP, remote shield reps dont do much there anyway. Tried Albion too as it’s got similarities, but again time between action felt fairly high or pointless blobfests.
I feel this in my space bones. Been in space since 2013 and can functionally do everything, burnt out in 0.0 about 6 years ago, but keep my sub up and occasionally do the solo roam when I fancy shitting in the space chereeos of my old targets.
Gave albion more than a fair shake and will return every few months, I enjoy the routine of the player housing there and the new FW is a nice change of pace.
EvE still holds a special place for me, but I really disconnected when I left reddit. The shitposting and memes of the subreddit really was the pulse of that game for me, I only wish the fediverse could have such activity, it really kept me connected
I do wonder if I should give Albion FW another try. Playing as a free player doesn’t even matter for PvP does it? Just need it slower to gain skills/money so not a problem for giving it a try. It was always blobfests in green/yellow zones when I tried it before but I did hear that they were planning on changing things for it and that was quite a while ago now, not played in at least a year.
In both games I always liked small to medium groups, not blobs and not solo.
Albions new FW is even more blobfest, but its much more objective and siege oriented after the update. Both games made a fast travel method for players to get to the front, and the timing is more like the alert system from planetside 2. Overall its a big improvment, you can expirence the big battles that the outlands are famous for, but there are no shot callers and people respawn if they get into the zone in time.
EvEs frontlines are very similar, but without a dramatic fight scheduled every 2 hours.
IIRC there are fortresses in both, but obviosuly the yellow zones are more popular, for that exact reason (it is gear capped, so the impact of rich players is minimized)
A lot of the Navy cruisers are great for the price - the Omen Navy, Osprey Navy, and Scythe Fleet are all solid kiting ships that you can fit well for ~100m isk, and you can do a solid kiting Vagabond or Muninn or Deimos for sub-300m (my RLML muninn is like 180m, fantastic antitackle). And there’s always assfrigs or interceptors for 40-50m
100M is a lot, T2 frigs usually alright, joined bombers bar ops quite a bit when I could. But timing for things often means most of your playtime is doing nothing.
Unironically get yourself into a good wormhole corp - always something fun to do and the money is solid, especially in C4-C5 holes but even C3s are decent. Explo, gas, PvE and sometimes PvP make you good money (oh these Prospects all had Syndicate gas scoops for some reason!) and basically anything you’re actively doing can generate content. I’m a singleboxer and still enjoy WH space way more than any other area in the game because of how unpredictable and fun it can be.
It varies, the corp I’m in is about 15 people but but many are around 50-100. Bigger than that and it’s hard to sustain unless people start getting their own farmholes to make isk which is kind of a pain.

Is the AO one in yellow or red zone? I got kinda bored of people in extremely expensive gear that they can’t lose in yellow.

Not heard of frontlines for EVE, might look it up

How large of a corp do you usually get in a single wormhole?
