The family of Leah Keeper, a mother of two from Sagkeeng First Nation in Manitoba, say her remains were located in Winnipeg.

    Courchene said the police haven’t been providing the family with enough updates and don’t know how her body was found.

    In a news release, Winnipeg police confirmed that Keeper’s remains were found on Nov. 26, 2025, in a back lane. The police said they’re continuing to investigate this as a suspicious death.
