I found the blankets at strike gently co very cool and would love to get one but finding something similar made in canada would be even better, does anyone have any ideas where to look that isn’t taking a shot in the dark with etsy

This one on Etsy says dispatched from Canada. With that said, at that price it is not going to be artisan made….could be a reseller for all I know.

If you have a local arts society, see if they have a textile group. In my area, there is a group that has sales a few times per year (If you happen to be in Kingston, here is their link)

Finally, there is a great shop in Ottawa called Pokoloko that sells South American blankets and towels - the material is so soft and lovely. If they suit your taste, many are wall hanging worthy (although you will want to snuggle your wall)

Quilts maybe? That’s the “traditional” Canadian blanket. And you can probably get one locally made.

Only half joking - look for estate sales in your area, old folks are leaving behind all kinds of magnificent things that their children don’t care about.

Probably mostly quaint things, though. The stuff on that site is rad as hell.
