I’d be down with stricter gun laws canada-wide, in fact, I think everyone who purchases a gun, should have to undergo a psych eval.
You’re given a background check daily, signs of mental distress are cause for license suspension or revocation.
This is already in law, not long ago a person on Reddit posted that their license was suspended and firearms were seized because they showed signs of mental instability.
A study out in SFU also points out that PAL holders are known to commit less violent crimes than your average Joe.
