*Secession. The first poll result I could find in a search had 67% against, 27% for. The “for” side is 1% lower than last year, but that’s probably within the margin of error. The real concern is if they can get away with the gerrymandering they’re trying to do right now (but last I heard it looks like they probably won’t, thankfully), or do some kind of voter suppression based on the doxing of all the people who signed a petition against separation.
I guess the whole propaganda-sphere they have going will support whatever excuses they want to make that it would only take a reasonable grounding in reality to dispute. 🤷🏾♀️
I forgot to mention another concern though, because I was only thinking of direct/upfront attempts at seceding. There’s also the sneaky/indirect stuff they’re doing to weaken Canada so it’s easier to take over, like their Bill 11 that uses Alberta’s insane local politics as a vehicle to pry apart the health care system for all of us across Canada. It runs counter to the Canada Health Act, so where’s the enforcement from Carney against this blatantly illegal bill they passed? I can’t find anything showing he’s doing anything.

Plus you will get to enjoy the US president claiming tens millions of illegals voted to stay. It won’t work but he will not shut up about it I’m sure.
Stupid geese, violating our customs and immigration laws with impunity! We demand canada act!
That joke is not entirely all that stupid compared to our future here.
