Leaving the call with Carney, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said point blank that withholding energy is “not going to happen.”

Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe has also flatly rejected the idea of using potash and energy as a leverage point and Quebec Premier Christine Fréchette said she’s “not there.”

Withholding the things the US needs badly enough to exclude from tariffs is exactly what we should do.

Canadian oil is produced by private companies. 90% of oil is sent to the US.

Its a huge leverage point but it would absolutely devastate the canadian economy to do that.

We arent trying to self immolate here.

As Canadians, the best thing we can do is to boycott ALL American products (as individual Canadians, not as a government), and to not travel to/thru the US until they exterminate their pathetic fascist infection.

We are nothing more than consumers in this late-stage capitalism scenario, and our money is where we hold ALL our power (and it’s a lot of power). Boycotts are actually so effective that both Australia and Israel wanted to make them (and promoting them) illegal.

We don’t even need the government to do this. Carney is doing the right thing by playing it cool and we have to do the heavy lifting.

We just need to stop spending our money on American products, tout suite.

All the hardware is made in China / Taiwan. Get a Huawei, and keep your old stuff.

You can also buy used. They don’t make profit from that. Often cheaper and better for the planet as well.
