The fact that people are spending so much time in games doing something menial they could be actually doing in real life, bothers me terribly.
I mean, wasting hundreds of hours in a game isn’t healthy at all, but I completely understand why you’d want to be a super elf, or explorer Big Boobassa, or a magic plumber escaped from the drudgery of the poo, or any of the others. But, not cleaning your room so you can play “Clean Your Room”, in which you are a regular human and it takes just as long to clean but in the end you still have a baseball hat full of cream cheese under your bed in the real world, speaks to a mind and society of eldrich horrors withering souls to tiny raisins and collecting them like candy for aeternal snacking.
“Hey heeee! Come on over! Have some fun with
CRAZYdead-inside taxi!”Hey, we’re all broken inside. You don’t need to point it out.
The fact that people are spending so much time in games doing something menial they could be actually doing in real life, bothers me terribly.
Sounds like you’re in the wrong community then.
Oh shit, did I stumble into the boringafphonegames comm?
The game also includes a mix of radio stations featuring human-made music and AI-generated music
This is probably the wrong audience to ask but if you don’t give a shit at all about the quality of the music, why not just use royalty-free music? Isn’t that easier? And cheaper?
After watching the trailer, the AI-generated dialogue is (predictably) just terrible.
I just don’t understand this shit at all. You’re Coca-Cola and spend $5 b-b-billion/year on advertising but you’re gonna skimp and save like $1k on paying a human to create quality content and instead just outsource it to shitty AI-generated images? WTF is happening?
Also unrelated but why is “Stimulator” in quotes? Who are they quoting? Is it facetious? Is it not a stimulator? Is it supposed to be some kind of terrible joke?
Stimulator, as opposed to simulator is my guess.
Also, 100% agree. If something is so meaningless that you could give it to a robot, just chuck $500 at the nearest idiot with a guitar or throw royalty free classical music or make up some garbage song
Ah cool. So they didn’t bother to make a game but want people to buy it. No thanks.
Yeah I’ll vibe code my own game if I want an AI game
“Here’s more truth: that statement is remarkably pathetic for the CEO of any company to be making, and combined with the AI use it will do far more damage to Saber’s reputation than it ever could mine. This screed will be many people’s first exposure to the Saber brand.”
She nailed that analysis
Yeah, never heard of them before, seems like they make lots of ports? I surely will remember them now if I ever see a game with their name on it
It’s a shame, because they have been involved in some great games. Especially early on, with games like time shift and inversion (being pretty good lower budget games), and then World War Z and leading into Space Marine 2 with their fun horde tech.
Their stance here though is the nail in the coffin though, well maybe shotgun to the feet. Will steer clear of them now.
Rideshare Stimulator ? 🤨
EDIT: wtf it’s not a typo
It’s open-source, written in Rust, and has plugins from Stardew Valley to Ultrakill.
“We were vibe coding before it was cool.” 🤣
Butt can it do grandmaster level chess tournaments?
How do you think Magnus Carlsen is so good? 😏
I wouldn’t be surprised if ai came up with the name as well.
Sybian missed an opportunity here to make this game first
Guess we’ll be goin’ down together.
(think unsexy thoughts, think unsexy thoughts)
Well, this is my stop
screams see you tomorrow
I’ve bever heard of this game, now I’m seeing multiple articles on it. Could this be a marketing tactic?
Yes, of course it is
Fucking garbage.
So there will be some sort of punishment from Steam for lying about their game on the store, right?
E: I retract, as the game was not released yet.
Rideshare simulator…isn’t this just shitty Crazy Taxi? Or the cab side missions in GTA3?

Terrible news, that’s not even the name. It’s stimulator. Gross.
Haha, I assumed that was a typo. OK.
