Loblaws has altered how it displays country of origin information in produce aisles. They state that due to fluctuating factors such as seasonality and availability, customers are directed to check individual product labels, stickers, or case packaging rather than relying on shelf signage.

As well, per the Canadian Food Inspection Agency: there is no federal requirement for grocery stores to identify a product’s country of origin on shelf tags or store signs.
