US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said Canada had declined to finalize a trade deal, minutes before fresh Trump tariffs were due to take effect. Canada's Mark Carney said the terms proposed were "unfair."
Now’s the time to simply match the tariffs dollar for dollar and refuse to respond to anything but a concession by the US. If they keep playing dumb games like changing the agreement last minute they were never interested in a deal. Maybe Carney can be more specific now on what is affected and who specifically is targeted. it’d be great if there was a list of business’ affected and their products so we could buy more domestically. the list of tariffs sounded weirdly targeted at certain business’ to me.
