This part was striking, about a 100% fee (cough tariff cough):

ANBL applied standard wine markups, saying fees would have been lower had the festival chosen a New Brunswick maker — citing its mandate to support in-province producers.

So basically, NB has the same trade policy here as America does, with respect to the rest of Canada.

For all the talk about interprovincial barriers, there’s a hell of a ways to go.

    Ontario does the same. Ford made a big deal about allowing NS alcohol into Ontario then put a 30% tarriff on it.

    Why the hell is this even a thing? 100%?! That’s just a cash grab plain and simple. No good reason for that.
