Dunno about the other airports, but what makes it particularly idiotic at YVR is that a lot of extra construction has been happening over the last few years (parking garages it would appear?). And you just know that any private owner will make parking costs sky high and government will see fuckall profit from that investment. Sure they could make very specific contracts with private owner about that, but this is government we’re talking about, buddy of a buddy will be raking it in.
