I’m a cis male and I believe in the importance of feminism, but I hesitate to call myself a feminist because it seems like there is a presumption of understanding women’s experiences as if I was part of the Me Too movement. In some binary sense given how hateful and shitty men can be I’m absolutely a feminist, but I wouldn’t declare myself to be one. What is your standpoint?

But seriously, what the hell is this analysis? Women have always been a part of the labor and productive forces. Do you think women existed solely in a state of domesticity before fighting for the right to vote in the US? This entire argument rests on the notion that capital is the driver of social change. I guess you might not know that people can react to their material conditions just as much as capitalists can react to people. Like there’s some kind of…oh I don’t know, a dialectical relationship between these forces.
