Court filings from the battle between GTA 6 studio Rockstar and fired workers have revealed how Rockstar accessed a Discord server set up by union organisers.
To an extent I agree, though very dependent on the situation. In this specific case though, I can’t think of a legitimate reason in a game studio to keep information segmented apart from specific things like other employees information.
I’m not saying it’s a justification here, but the principle of least access is an important part of security best practices.
There are completely valid reasons to restrict what information can be shared.
