Episode 5 - Beer Quest

Millie’s birthday is a bust when the beer delivery plane is cancelled. Siaja, Millie and Colin go searching for a drink deep into the town’s bootlegging world, and have a run-in with the law. In the midst of this chaos, Siaja receives life-changing news.

Episode 6 - Missing Pieces

Siaja takes a spontaneous trip to Toronto to meet her half-sister Olivia. Their meeting becomes a very real connection but it’s also tested by long-held unspoken secrets. Back in Ice Cove, Neevee realizes it’s too late to tell Alistair how she really feels.

        Just saw it. I’ve no idea what those were. The show tends to not spend too much time on Inuit culture for the benefit of eductating the rest of us. 😅 It’s just a background for the social stories in the foreground.

        The episode with the sister was pretty good. It was nice how they juxtaposed the flat portrait of Neevee the daugher had with the real person.

          With the shot near the end where she opens one of Neevee’s cards, I wonder if they are building up towards having her join everyone up north next season. While it feels a bit similar to Alistair’s journey, their reasons for leaving are pretty different.

          At the same time, it might be fun to have some more episodes set in Toronto and other parts of Canada, exploring what it is like being Inuk outside of Ice Cove
