I do agree it starts with education, but I think we need to tackle more of a fundamental element of teaching people how to be a reasonable human that isn’t so easily jerked around by their base emotions. Otherwise stupid ideas will still reach and resonate with stupid people and the danger of creating a moron is still high.

It seems like, in a way, you’re suggesting that I’m over-simplifying the issue but I think you’ve misunderstood me, and it’s ironic that I’m suggesting that your idea is the one that doesn’t go far enough.
