More than 470,000 Ontario driver’s licences are allegedly among the 153 million U.S. and Canadian records exposed in the IDScan.net data breach. The company added an online inquiry form for people concerned about the “security incident,” but experts warn there is no instant way to confirm if a licence was compromised.
I had my ID stolen once in the past luckily they only used it for a credit card. They maxed it out and probably moved on, I did not know until I started getting collections stuff. I tried working with the police, and other agencies including that bank, but in the end I was forced to just pay off the debt because whatever bank it was was being a dick about it and the police where useless. I got some credit lock put on whatever it was, worst mistake ever! It was just a hassle to do anything involving credit stuff. I now just do a soft credit check once a month to make sure nothing has happened.

How much was it? I would habe taken them to court and have them prove that I opened the account.
