I saw a video on spawnwave that talked today about what games people are enjoying in 2026 right now. And the different reactions of different social media/sites.
I personally am loving Wild Blue Skie s. Its just starfox. Thats what I want to play!
BALL x PIT is a whole lot of fun. I didn’t think it would be but it keeps getting better and better.
I also liked FTL back in the day so I picked up Void War . Its like warhammer + FTL and its fantastic.
EDIT: You all are great! Keep them coming! So many games (video games and otherwise) in this list!
I’ve started my second playthrough of Pacific Drive after buying all of the DLC in the Steam sale.
It says a lot when I finish a game at all and it’s saying a hell of a lot that I’m hooked again on a second play through.
Forza Horizon 6 and Fallout 4 VR heavily modded of course.
Forza I disable all the assists and get sweaty. Fallout 4 VR eventually got enough 6 DoF mods to almost hit parity with Skyrim VR modded so I’m finally giving it a go along with community story expansions and all the other shit you’d want. It’s a weak game in the series but still fun to bumble around.
I just finished some old quality streamer bait slop with Water Park Simulator because I wanted to turn my brain off for awhile. It’s good for that, pretty stupid game besides. It’s hilarious how you can build huge water slides by the end of the game but pool depth never gets deeper so NPC just smash into the bottom of the pools.
Oh and I play Heros of Might and Magic Olden Era plus Emberward TDS on and off when updates come out.
That’s it for now.
Might be late to the game, but Xenonaughts 1 and 2
noita, beamng, binding of isaac are my regular rotation.
Nightmare Creatures, it sucks 🤣🤣🤣

OpenFront, QuakeWorld, Duke Nukem 3D, and Xonotic.
I put-off picking up and playing Fields of Mistria, and I’m sorry I did. I’ve invested a lot of time in it recently and I love it. I recently picked up and started playing News Tower, and it’s been pretty addictive, too (sorry Fields!)
When I’m away from my PC, the last month it’s been the original Octopath Traveler on my Switch 2 (but I can’t justify full-price for the Sw2 upgrade.)
Megabonk. Always a good time and easy to pick up and put down.
Dressmaker! I love making my mostly hideous dresses with one or two very lovely dresses thrown in! And it’s nice you can undo cuts unlike irl where gg, wasted fabric. Love you magic game fabric!
I’ll likely get some mods soon and just go wild adding a bunch of new fabrics!
Your like the third person here talking about that game. I’m gonna recommend it to my wife.
It’s nice! I also like the story of the little town we’re in. Making dresses for some absolutely Very Normal People.
Lately I’ve been playing Dicevaders. It’s a pretty unique spin on Balatro, essentially. The best one I’ve seen.
Oh! I want to try. Loved balatro.
We Love Katamari. It is smooove on PC.
Currently bouncing between Space Station 14 and Elite: Dangerous. SS14 when I’m feeling social, Elite when I need to just disappear into space in my very own ship where nobody can bother me
I’ve been playing the shit out of Assetto Corsa Competizione for a sim racing league I’m in. Weekly races, streamed and commentated. Good stewarding, good people. It’s a blast! I end up staying up til like 1am on race nights because everyone hops in a party to watch the replays and talk about incidents, passes, etc.
Blasphemous 2. I’m into metroidvanias in general and I love the aesthetic. I’m stuck on one of the bosses though so I put it down for a couple weeks and need to go back and finish.
Farfield reminds me of the good old ogame / galaxy game times.
