Fuck me, capital G-Gamers sure can hold a petty grudge. It was 20 years ago - he lost - let it go.

The author will be bitching about Anita Sarkeesian next.

Jack Thompson was filing superfluous lawsuits about video games causing violence for decades. They had to disbar him to stop him from ignoring orders to stop bringing up what were, essentially, the same lawsuits over, and over, who’s evidence had failed in every conceivable manner.

Anita Sarkeesian criticized sexist, and racist, tropes in video games, and the pig culture inside the industry, via a middling feminist blog until conservative culture war chuds decided to make her their focus when she posted a kickstarter to help fund Feminist Frequency make a video documentary series on sexist tropes in video games.

These two things are not similar other than they leveled criticism at video games. While Jack took shit online for his bullshit, he in no way experienced the level of harassment, and out-right contempt, that was leveled at Anita.

My comment was simply about how this article/stunt pointlessly dredges up drama from 20 years ago. I never said or implied that Thompson was right or that Sarkeesian was wrong.

Also, while she definitely got it worse (I wonder why that could be?) Thompson got his fair share of death threats from “peaceful” gamers, too.

Ok, I see what you are saying, however it just came off as a strange next step. To me, it registered as things in the same wheelhouse.
