Wondering if anyone knows of a project similar to NostalgiaTV, but for music, essential where I’d be able to create stations pointed at playlists on my Jellyfin server and it will just build a continuous schedule where if I turn on that station it might just be in the middle of a song, rather than me just selecting a playlist and skipping songs till I get to one I want right now.
I know, it’s not necessarily practical, but I like the idea.
I’ve only been playing with it today, but I reckon Azuracast ought to tick all of your boxes.
I’ve pointed it at the drive that holds my Navidrome library. Once it’s finished sorting through all 14,500 tracks, I can then sort them all into various different playlists to do more or less the same as you’re looking to do.
Perhaps Nullsoft SHOUTcast
In Icecast you usually have a “station” (mountpoint) sourced by a source client like IceS and streamed by Icecast to a large amount of listeners. This implies that all listeners of that mountpoint get the same stream, so an individual listener can’t pause the stream or add different tracks without affecting all other users.
Reading the title I thought you want to set up an analogue radio station and got all excited.
Sorry, don’t have any sort of ham radio license or anything 😂
Subwave. A bit on the AI side… But it’s brilliant and really works great.
Only problem, you want to keep that private ad it’s most probably illegal anywhere to broadcast publicly without a license. Even on the internet
is it possible to use it without all the AI DJ involved and just make a normal radio?
What do you mean?
Who chooses the tracks?
Anyway yes, set a muted dj who never speak.
And create playlists and only play those. This will bypass any AI usage.
