I know a Canadian employer who has hired one person to work, but pays their spouse instead (spouse’s name and SIN on the paperwork, but spouse has no actual involvement). There are numerous other problems, too, but I think legally this is the biggest one. I don’t know who or where is the appropriate body to report this to and would appreciate direction on that. I am not interested in getting the worker or spouse in legal trouble, but accept it is likely fallout. Thanks.
Edit: Preparing a report to CRA, thanks everyone.

Real talk? Drop a tip to CRA with receipts showing the business is falsifying tax documents. Fines against businesses are an order of magnitude greater than fines against individuals. Yes the guilty individuals will see consequence, as they should (fucking degenerates gtfo) but the business enabling their degenerate behavior will be far more hard fucked, as is deserved.
If that fails there was a guy named Molotov who invented a cocktail…
Fun fact - Molotov was not the creator of said cocktail, the Finns were. Vyacheslav Molotov was the just the soviet foreign minister they named it after as “a drink to go with his food parcels.”
Food parcels being a reference to the bread baskets Molotov was airdropping on Finland of course. Did I say bread baskets? I meant cluster bombs.
