Communism is a stupid, archaic idea that has not and will never work. It’s no different than chasing an ‘islamic utopia’ or a Mormon ‘zion’.
I’m with you on most of it with some caveats. You can’t build strong social nets and public services with local taxes and then open the floodgates to everyone in the world. You either limit access to the services and benefits for those who didn’t pay or severely limit immigration. Can’t have both simultaneously.
This isn’t to say “immigrants are the reason Canada has issues” but I’m not naive enough to pretend immigration itself doesn’t affect anything at all. Both negative as well as positive.
NDP and Green Party are ideological parties that pretend to be for the workers but they’re only in it for themselves and their unrealistic, fanciful delusions. Exactly as you said, they’re people in power who are not for the people.
