Most cons support and turn a blind eye to their racist base. Even if they don’t outright say anything racist towards non-white citizens, their actions speak louder than words.
You know, I’ve met a few left leaning Indians, but very few. I suspect all the immigration from exclusively India the last 10~ years was for exactly the purpose of getting more Conservative voters.
It’s not like we have been taking the best and brightest from everywhere lately.
People in countries left of us don’t want to move here as much as people in countries right of us. So even if they are left wing back home, they usually end up more right wing in Canada.
Cons don’t hate non-whites, that’s their voting base.

People in countries left of us don’t want to move here as much as people in countries right of us. So even if they are left wing back home, they usually end up more right wing in Canada.
I am aware. It used to be about the best and brightest when I was a kid.
All it’s about is wage suppression. Nothing else drives the way we do immigration now.
I disagree. Maybe it’s not a party platform, but they sure don’t put up a stink when their base calls for it
