Politicians like to go on about how many jobs their stimulus packages will create. But if you look at the numbers, it’s a lot of money for few jobs. Why do they do it? I’d say it’s more about economic sovereignty than job creation. That’s still a legitimate reason to make the investments, but it still confuses the citizenry.
