And that warrants attacking a country and slaughtering civilians? Because if not, you might want to rethink who to support.

Fuck load of Neo-Nazis in Canada, too. Would you stop supporting us if Russia attacked us for oil under the guise of “fighting Nazis” and showed you similar propaganda?

Russia didn’t attack Ukraine for oil. Although, Canadian military did help USA murder millions of innocents for oil and corporate greed.

Also, USA is waging an economic war on us right now with the explicit intent to make us their colony.

We received a report that this comment violates our instance rules.

are the minority and those screenshots are cherry picked articles

I do see evidence for this portion of the comment (see sources on this article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Far-right_politics_in_Ukraine#Electoral_record)

Specifically in the army, most of the conservatives were shoved up one battalion to not bother others

I assume the reporter takes issue with this portion, which reduces groups expressing Nazi ideology to “conservatives”.

A paragraph from the second article:

The unit has drawn controversy over its early and allegedly continuing association with far-right groups and neo-Nazi ideology,[17] its use of controversial symbols linked to Nazism, and early allegations that members of the unit participated in human rights violations.[18][19][20] At its origin, the unit was linked to the far-right Azov Movement. After its integration into the National Guard, the unit was brought under Ukrainian government control,[21] and observers noted a government strategy of integrating far-right militias into the regular military while attempting to limit ideological influence.[22] Some experts argue that the unit has depoliticised, deradicalised and distanced itself from the Azov Movement since its integration into the regular Ukrainian military;[23][24][12] others remain critical and argue that the unit remains linked to the movement and to far-right ideology.[25][11] The Azov Brigade has been a recurring theme of Russian propaganda.[26]

Given this context, we’re also removing this comment under our instance rules: https://fedecan.ca/en/guidelines/1-universal-rules#rule-2-hate-and-discrimination

We do not allow content that promotes or endorses hateful ideologies, including racial or religious supremacism, ethnonationalism, genocidal ideology and denialism, and gender-based hate movements. This includes Nazism, neo-Nazism, white nationalism, fascism, Antisemitism, Islamophobia, anti-Black racism, Holocaust denialism, residential school denialism, anti-LGBTQ+ hate, and transphobia. The absence of a specific item from this list does not mean it is permitted.

Literally how does this “promote or endorse” anything from both lists in the rule? I’m against all of them.

I also don’t see any obvious logical fallacy in “most of the conservatives” (although it depends on where lines are drawn on “conservative”); the battalion also featured ideologies (which I don’t find myself particularly being a fan of!) including ‘“”“anarcho”“”-capitalists’ (including from different interpretations of the unabomber as silly as that sounds) and people who want a knyaz again (for… some reason). Who are also a minority. Pretty sure the majority is “cente-left” ideologies.

Anyways, it says “denialism”. How about the person I was replying to engaging in denialism? Maybe you should just ban yourself for leaving that up.

Can you link to the comment? A number of those comments were removed as well

Maybe you should just ban yourself for leaving that up.

When it gets to the point that we can’t moderate these threads effectively anymore, we will likely preemptively lock such posts or disallow certain topics.

Right now I’m trying to apply our drafted rules fairly, and I’m open to hearing which comments need to be removed. I haven’t reviewed all of the comments in this thread yet.
