I had to read a Wizard of Earthsea for school and HATED it (probably because I was expecting it to be like harry potter ngl). However, every discussion I’ve seen online about the best fantasy series almost always includes Earthsea, so I was wondering if I was just too young to appreciate it and should revisit it. I’ve heard similar things for Jane Eyre, which I also found boring but found out it’s apparently meant for middle-aged people.

Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury is genuinly my favorite book in the world. Bradbury’s writing style, ths gorgeous lush descriptions and complex tone, nothing beats it. Coming back and reading it as an adult, when I first read it when I was coming-of-age, was a bit of a gut punch. Bradbury doesn’t talk down to his readers which makes me feel that his books appeal to anyone.
