Whereas:
Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) reported within Canadian airspace may have implications for aviation safety, national security, scientific inquiry, and public confidence
The Government of Canada’s Sky Canada Project identified gaps in the collection, analysis, coordination, and public reporting of UAP information and recommended greater transparency, scientific investigation, and public access to UAP data
Credible UAP incidents should be appropriately documented and investigated without presuming their origin or nature
Canadians should have reasonable access to government-held UAP information where disclosure would not compromise national security, public safety, personal privacy, intelligence sources or methods, or Canada’s international obligations.
