Watching for finally a solution to the housing crisis.
Not holding my breath.
It’ll be a bunch of convoluted tax bollox that largely benefits households with children and upper middle class business owners.
So nobody can deny Carney is a Liberal.
I mean, sure. But I also read what Avi wanted to see in the budget and that wouldn’t benefit me either for a different reason, so…
IMO NDP are still to LPC-lite to lead a popular working class movement. Avi’s a step in the right direction; still a ways to go.
But I just hate how every LPC ‘solution’ is just tax based and never actually doing or building anything.
I don’t think Avi actually wants to run the country. I think he’s perfectly content to stand in the foyer of the HoC and make demands of the government, like an activist. Running for office would mean he’d actually have to explain things, like how he’d actually accomplish what he says he wants. If he doesn’t sink the NDP further, I’ll be very surprised.
CBC (and CTV) is (are) spinning the blue tsunami as a pathway to trade.
Canadian voters can’t wait to become an obedient vassal again.
I dont think a trade deal with America would derail diversification efforts on the part of the government, do you?
I think the govt diversification plans were bullshit to begin with.
How so?
Carney was elected to fight trump. He is hard conservative with his policies. If the southern neighbors go more progressive he will have to pivot.
He won’t last long being more MAGA than the Americans. If Canadians see progressive policies south of the border they will expect them at home.
That’s not how the LPC operates.
