    What I really hate are suggested tips from takeout restaurants that don’t even have a place to sit down.

      There’s a tip jar at the gas station that I used to frequent. I really like the people who work there. They great me by name. No fucking way I’m tipping them.

      Agreed. If I’m eating in, I’ll generally tip depending gin service. But the only service is handing me a bag to go, what’s the point in a tip?

        The kitchen staff isn’t doing anything above and beyond the cost of the product in my opinion. I’m buying sushi I’m expecting to pay x amount for x product of y quality. The only way for them to go above and beyond is to give me free stuff on the plate but that just feels like buying more food with extra steps

      In BC we have tips at liquor stores now. For the casheer to ring it in.

      Of course people aren’t mad at tips, they are mad at the Bank of Canada buying all the federal debt issuance, that lead to a 50% increase in money supply that caused rampant inflation.
