I wasn’t aware we had any footwear brands here! Thanks, I’ll keep this in mind for when I need to get a pair.
Howdy! Your local Albertan, hoping to get acquainted here with others on Lemmy.ca.
Feel free to connect with me elsewhere here: https://linkstack.lgbt/@binzyboi

If you’re a tomato juice enjoyer, the No Name tomato juice is just as good as the Heinz tomato juice. While Heinz tomato juice is made in Canada, I’d much rather not fork my money to an American brand, even if the No Name stuff could possibly be from the same production facility.
Unless you’re opting for a low-salt diet, I’d suggest avoiding the PC Blue Menu one though. The lack of salt means the drink tastes a lot more bland, and I personally put it to waste as much as I hate to say.
Selling these things individually isn’t all that uncommon. I can’t name a single grocer in my area that refuses to sell bars like these individually.
Protein bars are often sold in the same area of grocery stores with options to purchase either individual bars as a pick-me-up snack or by the box for the pantry. They do the same with similar things like Cliff and RX bars so these being sold individually as well comes as no surprise.
Maybe try Tbooth Wireless? I did a quick search on Wikipedia, and seems the company that owns WirelessWave also owns that store franchise as well.
Holding company (Glentel) is Canadian, and going further, they’re jointly owned by Bell and Rogers.
Wealthsimple has tax filing services, and StudioTax is also Canadian.
To make my life simple might use one of these services this year as I figure out how the hell to do my taxes by paper. Absurd we don’t have a system from the government directly to do this.
Copy-pasting my comment from the crosspost:
Can we stop with the “strategic voting” bullshit?
Go ahead and “strategic vote” but don’t come around complaining when Canada ends up being a two-party state like our oh-so mentally sound southern neighbours.
According to the City of Calgary’s Integrity and Ethics Office annual report delivered to city councillors on Sept. 17, 2024, there were 51 complaints made under the Code of Conduct for Elected Officials Bylaw. Forty-eight of those complaints were dismissed, with the rationale being no reasonable grounds, or frivolous or vexatious. The reporting period was from May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024.
That’s a high ratio of complaints dismissed.
Hate to say they’ll likely move to BlueSky, but at the very least it would be a good idea to have them make a bridge via Bridgy Fed.
I mean, good on there being more options I suppose, but wish they had better values.
Saw they had a candidate in my riding listed on the Elections Canada site the other day and I just can’t help but feel they could be standing for better things.
Not necessarily Canadian made but maybe try getting it second-hand at a thrift or antique shop?
Gotta love the language here implying he only sees Indigenous people as means to access resources rather than seeing them as normal people whose lives and histories should be respected.
Must be hard simply being a fiscal conservative in the Conservative party right now seeing the social conservatives botching all the good publicity the party could possibly have had left.
Look, if he just left it at saying that the protests were fine but the encampment was not, that would at least be understandable.
COMPARING IT TO THE FREEDOM CONVOY? BRUH
Genuinely surprised Smith is that low. Like, if it took into account how people nationally felt about Smith I’d see this as expected, but the Angus Reid poll referenced seems to be based on the approval ratings of the premiers by their constituents.
I swear not long back Smith had a 60% approval rating here, which is absurd to think about as expected as it is. Wonder if the podcast surfacing pissed people off.
Cat meows, more at 11
God, why do they feel entitled to our marketplace? Jesus Christ can they just fuck off?
Is that the case? I’ve been hearing a lot about how unreliable the F-35s have been with it being hard to even get them off the ground half the time due to the maintenance needed on them.
I fucking love this guy, the more I hear about him, the more I want to throw my vote for the Greens.
As much as I wish they would ditch May and make him the sole leader of the party, I might concede my gripes and vote for them anyway since he’s just so fucking talented as a person and party leader.
Look up this guy’s portfolio, he walks the walk.
Oops, thought that at first, but seems I got my brain in a twist and got the mental math wrong somehow. Thanks for the clarification!
