The point I’m making ISN’T that the blowhards and nationalists are actually who would fight… but that if ANYONE did, and someone would, it would be extraordinarily difficult to control. And frankly, the impact of actual fighting would be out of all proportion to how significant it really is militarily to the United States

Combined with deeply intertwined societies, inherently porous border and absolutely no clear signifiers of whether an unknown individual is Canadian or American? Even a very small insurgency will be nighmarishly hard to deal with.

Never mind that it’s not hard to picture there being true sympathizers in the states in real numbers.
