Okay so technically, Montréal is about the mountain that is in the middle of the city.
Mont-Réal (Réal meaning Royal in Catalan, actually name of the mountain being Mont-Royal) Mont = Mount Réal/Royal = Royal (found this Wikipedia article about the word which is also a name for people in Québec https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Réal_(given_name) )

I did that for a Québec flag about a year ago and I received it pretty quick. It’s the Projet de loi 592
There is a law for the Canadian flag too (can’t remember it tho) but you can do that as it is a services by our tax payer money.
EDIT: Btw the quality of the flag is really good.

There is a tiny drop from November to today, but yes it’s mostly NPD voters (That’s their name in Québec ^^) and a little drop in the BQ towards the Libéral Party.
People on the broader left are unifying under the Liberals to counter PP now that Trudeau is gone.
Daelsky@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•Sales of US goods ‘rapidly dropping’ at Canadian grocery storesEnglish8·4 months agoThey use waste water to grow their food sometimes. Because of the lack of water, they do very simple extraction of the waste (physical and a little bit of chemical, but not biological) and thus the chances of bacteria such as E. coli are very high in their farms. That’s why they use so much pesticides as well.
That’s one of the reasons I’ll never buy American bio food, I don’t trust the water they use to be safe.
Daelsky@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•Sales of US goods ‘rapidly dropping’ at Canadian grocery storesEnglish251·4 months agoI read a paper recently while doing some research in my field. In Québec, a majority of food issues such as bacteria and unwanted contamination comes from the US while it’s a minority of the food that we import.
I’m on my phone and I’m pretty tired to find the source, but I read that about 6 months ago

Their quality of food is trash anyways so good for our health.

Daelsky@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•Canada proposes 100% tariffs on Tesla, I have an alternative: open the door to Chinese EVsEnglish61·4 months agoTo be fair, as someone said, it’s not EV that will save the environment. They bring their own problems such as rare earth minerals, heavy metals, lithium fires, heavier cars = move road degradation because of weight, more PM2,5 because of the weight on caoutchouc tires, the difficulty to replace parts when broken because of the more locked design and less right to repair friendly and more.
Are they good for the environment? More than a combustion car, probably. Are they the silver bullet solution? Absolutely not. We are in Canada and we have industries, local, that could benefit from investing into public transportation and trains. That’s true Canadian investment to our companies and solutions to the current environmental crisis.
Daelsky@lemmy.caOPto Canada@lemmy.ca•Bettman says U.S.-Canada tariffs could 'make it more difficult and more painful' on NHLEnglish2·4 months agoFranchises? No. But it could easily raise prices that are already absurdly high and make it more difficult for fans to come and watch. It might not be something for everyone, but a lot of people, myself included, love hockey in Canada and support their local team.
It would suck to make the tickets more expensive and even make things difficult for the finances of a team which would force them to relocate or sell it. Who knows.
I know there are more important things, but I’m just saying how it is seen by people.

That’s alright haha. But I agree that every country should have their own national card system like Interact here in Canada
