  • I mean, it’s a portable device. Put enough power into it, and it’s just going to light my lap on fire.

The more powerful device (with enough cooling, and a wall connection) is the Steam Machine, and it’s currently a lottery to get a chance to buy one. I am fully down to play more aggressive games, if I get a chance to buy the Steam Machine.

But I’m not excited for another Sega GameGear - another portable so powerful that it cannot be practically played away from a wall outlet.

I do want another SteamDeck, but I want it smaller, lighter, lower power, longer battery, and pocketable. I want a SteamDeck mini.

  • I rarely even try what I suspect to be the final boss battle.

Game devs without difficulty settings can fuck off and not take my money for the next chapter.

They figure I must have figured out all the mechanics by now, surely?

No motherfucker, I did not. I played this game in 7 minute bursts between real life kicking my ass.

I don’t know shit about what game techniques I was supposed to have learned back in chapter 2. Haha.

So when I get to the hard bit, I just turn the game off and never return to it. If I get there during the Steam refund window, I’ll ask for my money back, too.

Edit: Now a cozy game with a final cozy cinematic, I am fully down for.

  • I tolerate continued existence out of a morbid sense of curiosity.

That’s beautiful, in it’s own way.

I felt that way at one point. It led me, eventually, to moments that I later decided mattered very much, to me.

If I hadn’t had that morbid curiosity, I’m not sure I would have made it to those moments I now cherish.

    Here’s to morbid curiosity!
