I feel for them, too bad they voted in a dictator wannabe who made their lives hell.

FreeBooteR69@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•Canada’s April trade deficit widens to historic high as tariffs cripple exportsEnglish2·6 days agoMaybe people will start taking our other trade agreements more seriously now, like CETA and CPTPP. I mean it’s hard to believe somebody would castrate themselves business-wise as thoroughly as Trump and co has, Russia couldn’t have wished for a better bunch of idiots, and we all saw it in slo-mo. A hard lesson for Canada, everyone saw the orange mudslide coming but did little to nothing to mitigate the incoming catastrophe. Carney and the band better don some of them banker top hats and pull the bunnies out screaming, or we are screwed. Not looking forward to the pain. Elbows up, we’ll survive this.

Busy roads can increase your risk of ichemic heart disease.English51·12 days agoThe sound i can live with, but the pollution is off the charts. I don’t know what’s been going on in Surrey, but the air is often full of a chemical stench, and harsh on the lungs. I’m pretty sure that shit is killing far more people than sound.

Sure it was close, but i don’t think people realized how bat shit crazy they are, and the more stupid shit they say the more obvious it is voting for them is a bad idea.

Triple or quadruple fines for stopping to get pics with wildlife too.
Fucking knuckle draggers.

Time to nationalize them and turn them into a crown corporation. If we are not going to have real competition, we might as well get them to work for us for a change.
FreeBooteR69@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•U.S. senators urge Canada to ‘give us another chance’ on trade, tourism - National | Globalnews.caEnglish14·18 days agoI don’t know if that is a good idea for us. Even if in two years they take back congress and the senate, the next two years after that they could put in another pack of lunatic fascists. I think we should continue with our diversifying strategy and put much more effort into CETA and CPTPP.
FreeBooteR69@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•Canada should buy Tim Hortons and nationalize itEnglish181·19 days agoCanada Post is a crown corporation and is owned by the Canadian government, created to ensure it’s financial security and independence. This is just the rich trying to convince the public it is insolvent and should be sold to the private sector for pennies on the dollar to fuck over Canadians and provide shittier service for exponentially more money.

I think a large amount of people don’t want help or won’t accept it, mostly i think it is psychological problems. They don’t have the capacity or ability to be responsible for themselves and maintain a living space. People who actually want help can find it, i don’t believe these are the people who are being talked about to be honest. I do think an educated 3rd party is necessary to keep government from being heavy handed in their decision making.
FreeBooteR69@lemmy.cato British Columbia@lemmy.ca•B.C.'s Drug War Survivors call forced treatment plan 'a failure of justice'English62·20 days agoSo what do you do with these people? They are all over the place causing all kinds of problems. Needles everywhere, fights, defecating/urinating outside, theft, vandalism, leaving trash everywhere. Drugging out, overdosing causing stress to others having to deal with and witness, what do people suggest we do about this serious problem? What if they are outside your house, harassing you, your family, and your neighbors?
FreeBooteR69@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•Opinion: It's time for a centralization movement in CanadaEnglish11·22 days agoI prefer a decentralized arrangement to be honest, as a BCer it’s my experience Central Canada thinks it is the center of the universe and the rest of us revolve around them. No thank you, we have very little say in this federation as it is, why would we want to weaken our standing further?
FreeBooteR69@lemmy.cato Canada@lemmy.ca•Warning: Most media you consume has a MAGA biasEnglish44·29 days agoIsn’t it funny how they’re the ones always complaining about fake news, but these are the ones that are spreading it.

He imposed tariffs against our country based on pure lies. Nothing he signs his name to can be trusted. So go ahead, but in the mean time lets put more weight on treaties we have with other nations who stand by their words.

They stick to hair and other contaminates in your drain, acting like a sediment. I had that problem with using arm & hammer toothpaste, tried crest instead and the problem went away.
I think we agreed to the first 16, but i think we can cancel the rest without penalty. My opinion is accept the 16 F35, buy 70 Gripens from Saab, join the Global Combat Air program and invest in 6th generation fighters. 88 fighters not enough for a country our size.
