  • I prefer Interlingua because it is comprehensible right from the start if you speak a Romance language and I imagine it is sufficiently comprehensible for an English speaker. There’s this saying that it is “a language you already know but have never learned”. This is done through more natural semantics and syntax.

About this following part, I’m not sure, but I’ve heard they also call it “the modern Latin”. As I understand it, in order to be decipherable to all Romance languages speakers, it employs old Latin roots (with variations). The cool part, in case this is correct, is that we all know some of these words via science, arts, philosophy… (aqua, caelum, ovum…).

  • DOTA 2 players might be the meanest. The game includes a reminder at the beginning of the match just for regular players to be nice with new players. That tells you a lot about the community (and, of course, the reminder is mostly useless). The match-accepting button gives some information and tells you the way your allies and enemies (in a single grade) normally behave, and pretty often they are in a red color that says “disruptive”. It’s bad. Unhinged chat and sometimes voice chat.

  • Michael Jackson and Matthew Perry, because both died by overdosing on medication that was meant to help them.

They had sad and hard periods in their life, but they both wanted to be okay and to be happy! They did everything we are told to: reach out, ask for help, follow doctors orders.

…It feels so unfair, they feel like lives interrupted (as many many others). So them, even though I am not a fan.
