I’m not disputing that Palworld isn’t popular, but I hate when companies advertise with “40M players”
40M purchases is fine, which is very impressive for a paid game. If I buy a game, never play it or play it once, then I’m not ‘playing’ that game.

I’m not one of those people who pretends they will play a physical disc game for the rest of their life
I do however like physical for two reasons. Firstly, the price, how tf can you justify charging more when you are cutting out all of the middlemen and listing on your own online store. Secondly, resale. I can buy a game, play it and resell.
If the tradeoff on going digital was that games were 50% cheaper, then I’d be happy. I wouldn’t have to hoard games and I’d have the convenience of digital.
This
Whilst I don’t agree with it, it’s hardly something new.
There is no world where Nintendo had you covered
Their hardware and systems, particularly any online connectivity is 20hrs behind. They’ve also be the shittiest of them all with price hikes

Next up: Funnel-Web Spider spray.
A concoction that makes them impervious to any form of damage, improved web strength and grants a Predator-like camouflage ability.

Avowed
It’s incredible

I’ll wait a year and get it on physical

PS5 physical and sell if you are on the fence or only play on playing them once
GoG if there’s an option
Steam otherwise?

After reading this, I’m honestly considering cancelling my preorder.
Requiring an Xbox account for a game launching on PS is ridiculous

With Discord losing some popularity recently, I think the best thing they could do is create some sort of hybrid platform with connected apps (ie your profile also having a snapshot of Steam, PSN, Bnet, Microsoft etc)
Maybe even partner with more niche games/companies
“Copies sold” is a much better measure
It bugs me when GW2 also does this with “over 12 million players” when actually it’s registered accounts.
I know people who have and use multiple POF accounts obtained freely, including a guy who literally has 83 accounts and uses them all every reset.
