It’s okay, there are 35(?) countries I believe in America. 1 that gets talked about a lot. Being that they are discussing this from Canada in America, I’d say it’s safe to consider maybe American Express could have been from Canada. Mexico, Argentina, Brasil, and most other large countries in America aren’t English primary, so it would be harder to pass them off.
China uses different software for all vehicles that are foreign and sold in China last I knew. There is no reason that companies couldn’t submit open source firmware (or at least open to review for the government) to Canada’s government for alteration and approval for shipping. Then if any car sold with alternative firmware would result in massive fines and ban of all future sales. Poof. Your trembling fears of people trying to help the less fortunate should be gone. All the sudden car prices come down in your country, as does gas prices, meaning if you want to keep your gas vehicle, you get cheaper fuel. The supply didn’t change, just had lower demand with every electric car sold.
Also your dependency on a country who is threatening your well being goes down, that should be a win win
Some of that likely has to do with the post saying the Billionaires who own a chunk of their media is the same ones that own the U.S. media/gop

I installed a Linux server on an old laptop, then installed Jellyfin. It’s like a Walmart special from 8 years ago, so no graphics card outside of the integrated graphics. Doesn’t matter. I disabled sleep, and power saving settings on the Wi-Fi. I had a USB external 1tb drive hooked to it. The laptop doesn’t even have support for a 5ghz wifi connection. No issues at all. I can run 2 movies at 1080p in different rooms off the external USB drive without issue. Just go for it. I installed RustDesk on it so wherever I am I can remote to it, turn on the VPN and kick off a torrent for whatever movie someone mentioned while at work or what not. Then when I get home it’s there.
