You got fair points and I wouldn’t try to dismiss them. I’ve trained dogs for hunting, tracking rabbits, coyotes, small game racoons where beagles will tree them or run rabbits to hunt, and of course obedience for normal people. Large to small breeds even Chihuahua mixes not all breeds of course and some are far better than worse basically any poodle variety but I say that to show my experience.

Beagles, heelers, shepherds, mutts, huskies, etc etc. Basically the useful breeds are like kids in responsibility high energy and can be total characters. Environmental/situational conditions dependant herd based dogs would be good, large framed dogs and the like as you mentioned.

I just feel the resource drain and output isn’t up to par with input, responsibility for what you get as they age and the level of care needed. A lot of survival is quiet survival outdoors or indoors. Where dogs are clumsy and noisy. There are exceptions of course. I do believe their ranked high just not number one. My best guess is most people are basing this on social and mental health. Which absolutely matter but you can still be in a shit mood and need to eat and get stuff done. I’d honestly like to reassess my animal picking and add monkey, chimpanzees as number one. They learn sign language, can use tools, understand time/scheduling. Similar diet, nutrition, health compatibility. That’d be my number one. Chimps assuming personality wasn’t a schizophrenic.

The Chrysler older engines are decent in the grand Cherokee jeeps and such but outside of that their transmissions and engines suck depending on year or model run, electronics go out in newer jeeps since like 2005. Let’s not forget the massive jeep tax for parts because jeep. There are exceptions to the rule for sure and that’s across any models/years. But pound for pound overall. I’d take a 5.3l LS engine over most anything. Kia makes some good cars. About anything modern has went down hill. Engineering tolerances have increased but quality of materials and control have been pro business and less pro consumer. Planned obsolescence. Mechanic techs are getting screwed the most now.

Everyone keeps saying dogs. I hard disagree. Almost all dogs bark without needing to, giving positions away or false positives of foe, even well trained dogs are better but not so much so. They seem to be more resource drain than value.

I think goat, sheep, cow, horse, chickens, rabbits, donkeys maybe better than horses, camels maybe meh, are far superior for activities of all types like food generation, feed for live stock, produce, input vs output, compost, pelts/furs, usable materials to craft and build. Hunting and fishing are not novel concepts in which dogs excel paired with humans. Their main advantage is long running distance able to outwind deer and other species. Dogs are a high responsibility animal.

Hell a well trained larger cat species would be far hunting superior. Even a hawk, or any larger bird would be better than a dog. I suppose it depends on environment and conditions. Crows are good group workers.

Suburu engines, eco boost engines, most fords except truck models, SAAB engines some of them, Chrysler most engines, Audi near all engines. Not too many auto manufacturers make good cars anymore. Sadly. Their built to replace not work and maintain.

The best advice is always to get out of the situation first and drive or run away. Good cardio serves a purpose in both fight and flight.

Lame overall, I get it.

I do these. I replace phone parts, tablets, and various devices. It’s not complicated and you don’t need a heat gun. You can use a hair dryer and if that’s too much. A heating pad turned on high for about 15 minutes sometimes not even that long. A guitar pick ot similar. Go slow. Cheap 15 dollar or less phone kit with a suction cup helps.

Somewhere around 230k or so. It ran so good and everything worked so nicely that I’ve owned cars with 70 and 80k miles that had far more problems. With maintenance most cars can last and maintenance is one of the if not the number one cause of failure.

It’s all about keeping it simple. No heated and cooled seats and heated steering wheels. Have a basic model car nothing top of the line. It’ll last.

I suppose I was a bit pedantic about it, what I really mean is that people take things far too personal and it’s a bit ridiculous to me. Perhaps I should not have said it was hilarious it was more of an expression of absurdity to me.

I’m not a MAGAT. I said that because it’s legitimate and true to some degree whether I agree with the words woke mind virus or not it was a means to explain the phenomenon.

Everyone has some sort of idea, intuition, theory, about literally everything now days in some crazy fashion, 5g world domination, implants in blood draws, wild things you see. The government, food, tech, tv shows. What I was speaking on loosely and fast just as a simple comment to OP was that there literally seems like a woke mind virus now days because its ingrained in everyone.

I only used woke mind virus because that’s what most people see on the news and hear about, so they understand loosely the context I speak about. Was more to get my point across, be active in this sub, and be relatable to OP. Again.
