Nintendo and Sega’s IP. I did not grow up with them and have never seen the appeal or hype around them.

Looking forward to this circus not being in the news cycle any more. These birds were infected and were a threat to BC and Canada’s ecological and agricultural security and the fact it dragged out this damn long is frustrating.

The ultimate form is basically what the US has done / is doing: Sell off everything to corporate interests and wash their hands of it.

The TES series in general for its massive, expansive lore.
But Morrowind in particular has absolutely incredible world-building with incredible creativity and originality. There is a reason why so many people keep going back to the n’wah simulator and it’s because the world is so rich and fleshed out. So much of the following games was built off Morrowind’s stunning work.

A complete shutdown of the Albertan economy would be amazing. Fuck Smith and the UCP.

The most corrupt provincial government in Canada doing what it does best.

Good point.

How many times is this game going to get remade…

Subnautica 2 is so screwed.

So many things are filmed in Vancouver and BC in general and yet they always turn it into some place in the USA. I’ve heard Vancouver described as “the city that never plays itself” which I think is fitting.

Honestly? Aloy from the Horizon games. She’s maybe not the most rounded character, but she is a very strong, determined, stubborn, and intelligent person. She knows what she wants and will stop at nothing to get it. I think it also helps that the games don’t really have many choices or multiple endings, which I think was a good design choice. The story belongs to Aloy, not the player.
Also she’s not a protag (sorta, you can play as her) but I would like to give a shoutout to Lae’zel from BG3. I suspect a lot of players haven’t explored her character questline much because of how prickly she is at the beginning, but her character development is extensive and, at times, heart-wrenching. A story of someone getting the entire fabric of their life and soul torn out from under them.
This. Canadians are understandably angry at the USA right now but they need to accept the reality that we share a border with the US and that we still have to do what we can to maintain somewhat peaceful relations.

And what about from the US? Project 2025 and the Heritage Foundation? The fact that, from coast-to-coast, all our conservative politicians are parroting Trumpian talking points and flying down to US to attend meetings with Heritage Foundation members?
Also obligatory reminder that NatPo is owned by PostMedia, an American conglomerate that owns several news agencies that pose as being Canadian.

Soon that pile will be so big that we can use it as a barrier to seal us off from the US completely.
Had a similar looking style of toaster oven in the past, although I’m not sure if it was Oster or not. Either way, it had the exact same problem and was legitimately dangerous when the doors were open.
The doors were mechanically linked together so if you bumped a door by mistake then both would slam closed on your hand, hot metal and glass going into your skin. They also had to open 100% (which is rather wide, taking up a lot of space) or they would spring closed and, again, burn you.
From a strategic perspective, it’s probably best to hold off until they need that boost. Wait until it is closer to election time and then cancel it an ride the popularity surge through the polls. Cancelling it now would make a lot of people happy but won’t last long.
Tea.
That smell of a freshly opened container of black tea leaves is lovely.
