Trump has had several GOP “rhinos” primaried because they wouldn’t bend the knee.

• Rusty Bowers: The former Arizona House Speaker was censured by his state party and targeted by Trump after he refused to help overturn the 2020 election results in Arizona.

• Liz Cheney: As the former chair of the House Republican Conference and a leading critic of Trump, she was a primary target. Trump endorsed Harriet Hageman, who defeated Cheney in the 2022 Wyoming primary election.

• Doug Ducey: Trump called the former Arizona governor a “RINO” for not engaging with his efforts to challenge the 2020 election outcome in the state.

• Larry Hogan: Trump has repeatedly labeled the former Maryland governor a “RINO,” though Hogan has remained popular in his state.

• Brian Kemp: The Governor of Georgia earned Trump’s ire for certifying the 2020 election results in his state. Trump endorsed David Perdue in the Republican primary, but Kemp won re-election.

• Mitch McConnell: Trump has repeatedly attacked the Senate Minority Leader, though he has not been able to directly replace him.

• Lisa Murkowski: One of the few remaining senators who voted to convict Trump in his second impeachment trial, Murkowski has faced heat from Trump’s allies and activists, though she was not successfully primaried.

• Ken Paxton: When the Texas Attorney General faced impeachment charges, Trump defended him and called his Republican opponents “RINOs”.

• Ben Sasse: The former Nebraska senator was another Republican who voted to convict Trump. Sasse later left the Senate to become president of the University of Florida.

• Pat Toomey: The former Pennsylvania Senator, who also voted to convict Trump, retired from the Senate at the end of his term.

Well, not entirely true. They do it in the US based on your public voter registration data, giving rise to companies that only exist to suck up and sell that data to groups looking to game the system instead of giving people what they want/need/deserve.

Well your only going to be as fast as the slowest server in that chain, with all the latency/any dropped packets/etc. driving down your speeds. Also, if it’s built for security it almost certainly isn’t prioritizing speed test traffic of all things.

Better than also making them have to file taxes, although it should be something that they shouldn’t even have to bother with since they are below poverty already.

The whole state, or even the whole city, isn’t all assholes. I feel any sports ball fan group is going to be one of the worst representations of America.

Google lets you ask a series of suggested questions (kinda like the auto suggested text stuff), or you can just ignore the call. I’ve never felt the need to engage any further with any numbers I don’t already have, and not sure exactly why you’d want to, but the feature has been available for years now.

Edit - I think you can even screen the call by listening to the callers reply to the robot voice, but again never really cared enough to use it.

Capitalism doesn’t reward shareholders for preparing for a downturn, the system demands profits must go up before any other considerations.

And the companies themselves can’t be trusted to do the right thing, that’s why taxes should help pay for an oversight group to “keep them honest”. And when caught skirting regulation they should be fined accordingly, and increasing fines for repeated offences. And if they still can’t follow the rules shut them down and have them pay for it.

I think with the right going hard right since 2016, in order to get access to any of the high level right-wing talking heads you have to be “loyal”. The second you are not Trump/MAGA will turn on you.They also make money hand over fist selling FUD that is much harder when just presenting facts.

I just fake it … forever (there is no “make it”). I watch and try and adapt, and try and limit my interaction with people that are not people I don’t feel like I can blend with, like social camouflage.

If everyone had just come to a mutual agreement to call him on his shit either 1) he would have reversed and dropped this whole tarrif/trade nonsense by now OR 2) he would have absolutely cratered our economy and maybe even his base would see the light.

Campaigns like this have always been effective. And this is what the Right does, they complain en masse about everything that offends their hypocritical views. They are the ones that believe 110% in “cancel culture”, and then turn around and call the Left out when we block Nazis.

Also, MC and Visa are well within their rights to tell groups like this to go pound rocks, but groups like this also know if they grind down resources they usually win. The only way to prevent it is to ban the protesting of corporations, but then when they do the bad shit they love to do we’ll be without any recourse. It’s a bit of a double-edge sword.

So the part that I see repeatedly missed is that a “no porn think of the children” group out of AUS has been hammering these payment processors as part of a new campaign. It’s not something Visa, or MasterCard just decided to take the “high ground” on, they have been hounded.

So really if everyone wants erotic games back on Steam and other things affected by this group someone is going to need to create a counter campaign.

It makes it harder when you have people like Trump encouraging cops to be more violent.
