Unrelated to the larger topic, but how do you find Endurain? I want to dump Strava, but last time I looked at self hosted Strava alternatives (maybe a year ago?), none of them really came close to parity in features.

The difference is, phone companies and card providers between them can more easily lock down and restrict who has access to NFC compatible apps. There are no rogue payment apps popping up to challenge the status quo.

Yeah, decentralisation has a lot of downsides. It’s definitely a barrier to entry for new folk. But at the same time, it has the single most important killer feature available, and that is that it’s can’t be controlled by a single profit driven corporation.

They do, but only by passively monitoring RSS feeds for new content that exceeds your current quality. They don’t do active upgrade searches unless you manually trigger them.

The distinction is important if you imported some or all of your media library, rather than building it from scratch with the arr stack stuff. It also matters if you source some your content via providers that don’t have RSS feeds.
