I don’t understand why people have such hard-ons for a corporation. HBC was probably bought up because none of us went there in the first place. Now that the US owner is going to liquidate it you wanna save it? It’s so dumb.

Yeah my job is translating FDA announements for Japanese clients and I see recalls for US products quite often, so I had to text my family in Canada to make sure they aren’t buying such products. I guess that won’t be necessary though, because my family isn’t buying any US trash anymore.
I see what you mean. Even if we ban it, the toxic users would find another platform, but we could hurt Musk’s bottom line by making the users migrate. In that case, then, I’m not so opposed to the ban.
It’s saying it’s going to be carbon net Zero through carbon utilization. For me it’s too ambiguous to blindly trust it’s not going to be harmful to the environment… I wonder if someone smarter can chime in.
I dunno if the government should be babying us by banning it because I’m sure a replacement would just spring up immediately anyway.
Maybe they should just go after the dumbasses who spread misinformation or promote violence to the best of their ability. Oh but definitely make government agencies and officials stop using the platform though.
For domain, I use hover.com. I’m not an expert on the matter so I’m not sure how their service compares to others, but I’ve been with them for years without issue. I’ve also been using 1password.
They screwed over France for that right? Not sure if SK would take the risk with a buyer who thongs, I mean flip flops like that.
This is amazing advice, thank you!
And I totally get that about reputation. I’m an interpreter and that’s really important to me too, especially now since AI could easily replace me if all someone wants is “good enough”.
People tell me the reason choose me over other interpreters and AI is because they want more than “good enough” and want someone with a good reputation and easy to get along with.
Thanks again for your insight!

Very cool. Thank you for sharing.
So this site aggregates external links and provides insight on their bias, right? If I wanted to read the actual article, I might get paywalled, correct?
Do you think it’s too late for someone like me in my 40s to start learning the skills to land a job in your field? I don’t need the job, but it would be cool ass skill to have and maybe have as a back up job option.
It sounds like they’re already living a great life in ignorance.
I’m going to a book reading event for kids on Zamami, Okinawa this month. Do you guys have any comical, French, picture books that you recommend? I like Elise Gravel, but would love to find more authors.
Thanks for your efforts.
