NDP is more about people than money, unlike the regular parties. They are between a rock and a hard place. Getting those cancer results in helps the people that are currently sick and possibly dying. So, we got rid of all the independent, competing labs and privatized it all to Dynacare? It seems we talk out of both sides of our mouths with regard to citizen ownership versus corporate ownership. Every single time it’s eventually proven that citizen ownership is better for the citizens. Corps can no longer streamline processes, ramp up, hit the ground running, and move fast. It’s a myth. They only exist to provide money to shareholders while the lab work is secondary. The only reason things like this would be approved is that deals were made and money changed hands at a private level that is above the citizenry.

If you’re in Canada right this minute, then we are in the same Canada. I suspect the reality is closer to my description but we all wear varying shades of rose-coloured glasses and I always allow that I could be utterly and completely wrong in my ramblings.

We went all in on corporate profit over societal progress. It’s unsustainable and resources are dwindling. No social programs just drug addiction in a self-medicating world with the rest of the folk sticking their collective heads in the sand. Shame gone, not a lot of respect for people or institutions anymore. A low-level anger that seems to permeate everything. Unstable world politics indicating a revolutionary sea change sometimes in the near future. Maybe major projects will get that money flowing for everyone but I believe it’ll be the same old players who know how to use the system. That’s most likely just the tip of the iceberg. I believe there is also a lot of good and happiness in the world but more so on an individual level than a societal one.

From my perspective it’s trump that’s being taught a lesson in the true art of the deal, even though both sides are unnecessarily suffering for his antics.

One of the big projects going forward should be to change “Google Canada” to “MapleNet Canada”, used by the people, for the people. It’s not all about infrastructure, it’s about identity as well.
