Most of us are nothing more than cattle being herded and are very skillfully tricked into thinking a certain way. You give the population too much credit. I should know…I’m one of those cattle. The only exception to this is when things get too tight and there is too much suffering and all hope is lost then a mob gets formed and a revolution starts. That’s when the people of any particular generation have the most power.

I hope the service improves along with the new hardware. I took a VIA rail train from Manitoba to Saskatchewan for what I wanted to be a day or two. I had to be in Saskatchewan for over 6 days just to get a VIA rail train back to Manitoba. When I was a lad in the 70’s they used to run daily. It should be a service, just like the post office. Fuck the “contractors”. Let’s go back to community builds like the old barn-raisers they had in the past. It would be better quality and way cheaper than the complicated inter-woven trade mess that is “contracting”.

Or is he one of those rare politicians who listens to the people of the country and shifted gears accordingly? While some will suffer and some will despise the lack of a deal, most Canadians are collectively digging in for the long haul in a show of support.
