Crossing the floor seems to me to be anti-democratic. At the same time, taking a stance that you believe in, even if it goes against your fellow voters, seems honourable. Everything is shades of grey.

A buddy of mine went to jail in the 80’s and he got the same sentence (not for the same deed though). That’s when I learned the slang for this very popular sentencing was called “a deuce less”.

This is horrible, what was done to the Indigenous peoples in Canada. It’s horrible if done to any people. I think the word genocide is a bit strong in this case but, to open a can of worms, at what point are we no longer responsible for the sins of our fathers?
