The choice was between a rock and a hard place. I’m glad they erred on the side of caution as the people should matter more than the economy and we all need more money in this new world economy. Lawmakers had decades to shore up legislation to protect the workers but they went all in on corporations. Wab Kinew made the right decision but workers everywhere (except corporate executives and their grotesquely huge bonuses) should be paid more money. Basic personal income should be a must moving forward. Food and shelter for all, at the very least would stabilize a lot of the social ills out there.

Grew up in the Canadian prairies. As a child I heard the word “Bomba Deer” bandied about. I think it was snow machines of some sort. I now wonder if they meant “Bom-bard-eee-ay”.

Most of us are nothing more than cattle being herded and are very skillfully tricked into thinking a certain way. You give the population too much credit. I should know…I’m one of those cattle. I hope the service improves along with the new hardware. I took a VIA rail train from Manitoba to Saskatchewan for what I wanted to be a day or two. I had to be in Saskatchewan for over 6 days just to get a VIA rail train back to Manitoba. When I was a lad in the 70’s they used to run daily. It should be a service, just like the post office. Not yet another profit center. We have to stop thinking like american businessmen. Besides all that though…Go Canada!
