  • Guilty Gear Strive.

Plus R is my favorite fighting game. Xrd I hated because they fucked with my character (Zato/Eddie) but I could tell it’s a fun game…

Strive just fucking sucks. The irony is I did vibe a little more with Zato in Strive than I did in Xrd, but WTF was everything else in this damn game… they just kinda ripped away anything that made characters unique in favor of standardized systemic depth and breadth.

Less unique moves, less unique combos, even animations feel too samey compared to Plus R or Xrd… I hate it. Everything just feels needlessly homogeneous.

Even the game’s ideas suck. Like, WTF is Zabubu…

Every time I give it a shot all I’m thinking is: why the fuck am I not playing Plus R instead?

  • Hmm… probably Vanquish because I don’t typically enjoy shooters and I typically play with controllers, not KB+M. I always assumed the shooting would ruin it for me.

Turns out it’s a shooter… but not really. It’s more of an action game where resource management and positioning are more critical factors than aiming, which’s mostly done in bullet time anyway.

I know people who are used to/are good at aiming probably enjoy it more, but I thoroughly enjoyed it as an action game and plan to go back eventually to get the 100%.

It also left me open to similar games like Evil West, if they exist.

  • you are misunderstanding.

I don’t think I am. The issue is not that your system won’t work with regional pricing, it’s that it will not work without it.

I’m saying pick a region for the guideline, if its $5 on that region the game has that refund period. Then apply regional pricing.

Yeah, that’s the issue. Some games do not opt into regional pricing, so the price never gets lowered, which means they will be paying $5 and have, for example, only 1 hour to refund the game, just like someone in the US. Their having to pay $5 is already an issue, and now they have even less time to refund it if it sucks.

There’s zero reason to apply a framework for every region that’s more work then needed.

I never adovacted for this. You can tie the refund period to money paid, no problem. You do not need a different refund period framework for every region, and I don’t understand why you think I’m pushing for this to begin with. It’s fine as long as you enforce regional pricing for everyone, which’s not something Steam will do.
