Games@lemmy.world•Why Everyone’s Picking Up a PSP Again in 2026 (my article!)English
2·5 months agoI keep my PSP in the drawer under my cash register in my shop, and play it from time to time when I have people who are looking with no intent to buy anything, but the screen is too small, and too low resolution for my old eyes to use for anything serious.
I have never owned a vita. Can they play PSP games?

It was also played at least once during each of today’s PWHL games.
This is one I have on my wishlist and have been eyeing for a while. I deleted a life sucking crafting mmorpg I was playing and have been looking for a replacement game. I may pick this up, it is on sale and in a couple bundles.

Games@lemmy.world•After Apple originally announced the first version of Halo in 1999, Xbox apparently called Bungie and said "'Steve Jobs can't have that. We're going to buy you.'"English
1·9 months agoThank you for the very detailed explanation. That really clears it up for me.
Mostly I only play games on my Mac that are available for Mac, with one or two exceptions. I used whiskey for one of them.

3·9 months agomacOS we had Whisky, but the guy threw in the towel when he realised another company was making a commercial product out of it, he didn’t want to take away from the work they were doing.
I misunderstood what happened with whiskey, I thought he was making a free version of a paid product.
What is an alis?
I remember when it was on kickstarter. I went back and forth about backing, I ended up pulling my pledge just before it was funded. So glad I did.

Some of the stuff with the conjoined twins. And how they talk about Trixie.

171·9 months agoThe first guide i know i got from GameFAQs was Star Wars Masters of Teräs Käsi, which came out in '97. I may have used it before that.
I also had printed out game guides (on the supersede white and green paper) in the early 80s.

It will largely depend if they are using the 99 ui and control, or something modern.
After my best friend that I met playing EQ died a few years ago I started playing again a bit, but the ui and controls are so last century I could not keep doing it. Bit if it is modernized I still at least try.
