  • It has had its memories. But, whenever I’m asked if I had any fond memories from my childhood, I leap to teenager years and high school. Because they were infinitely better.

My middle school years was filled with tons of humiliation, tons of setbacks, tons of embarrassing moments and nothing about it I’ve ever looked back on and was proud about. I was so hateful of my middle school years, I shredded all of my report cards. Not that they’d mean anything, but they reflected upon things about myself then and where everything was at the time. Sure I was a kid who did kid things, but I wasn’t considered a normal kid and I didn’t get to live a normal kid life.

  • If anyone ever tried doing that to me, I would just ruin their video. I would be like “hey yeah, this guy is actually a pedophile” or something then just ruin it. I will not be someone’s object to make money from in that sense. Not unless I’m getting paid.

I would rather be doing a job I don’t like because I know I’m not going to fall in love with it enough to make it my life, than to turn something I’ve fallen in love in doing and making it a job I’ll eventually grow to hate because it is seen as a job.

  • I don’t know what I can tell you.

I’m one of those patient gamers, where I’m just happy I finally have a machine that can play about 89% of the games I have to throw at it. Moreso happier that it can confidently run PS2 emulation, something I’ve been chasing for years to have a machine that can do, to own anyways.

I think you just need to sit down and contemplate to yourself what you want out of a machine. It’s not a good healthy mindset to be fretting about upgrading all of the time. I mean, you made a huge leap already going from 15 years to what you have now.

Also consider that, there will still be games released that look graphically demanding and everything, but will require maybe a 1060 GPU, just as an example. Probably 8GB of RAM. It’s only the AAA stuff that wants everything to be tip-top shape. Don’t chase those.

  • There had been a couple times where I’d be shopping and Wal-Mart’s alert system at the door couldn’t catch the smaller items. Like, they’re honest mistakes too, not intentional. I would make it out to my vehicle, getting the bags in, until I find one object that went by undetected. Thought about just playing it as a mistake and not paying for it.

Problem was, even if I did that, eventually I’d be confronted about it. I work for the company, they know me, they sure as hell probably seen me on camera throwing in that small object at somepoint and will use that. Just because the guy at the booth by the doors isn’t saying or doing anything or the store isn’t getting a hunch, doesn’t mean they aren’t thinking it.

Anytime this has happened though, I have walked back in and paid for that thing. But sometimes even when I know I scanned everything and paid for them, faulty alarms go off anyways so it’s like they’re bipolar.

    • Democrats take back House, Republicans barely cling to Senate.
    • Donald Trump dies at somepoint
    • Republicans start seeing losses in other fields of political power, but rural counties will still place faith in them.

  • Not really. I like fireworks. The only problem is, people firing them off in places where they would otherwise get penalized for. Like we’re not allowed to have fireworks/sparklers of any kind on the apartment premises. Yet that didn’t seem to stop a few idiots who fire them off thinking they’re living in homes and the cars that could get hit or be set on fire should things go wrong, exist.

  • Hint: It won’t ever be 100%

Any and all time I hear of this ‘game’, I can’t help but think that it is a scam. It is perhaps the most decorated and sugar-coated of scams to ever exist. Simply because they’re saying ‘yeah you can kindof play it’ and that alone, is their cover-all excuse. It wasn’t too long ago that they invested in some very expensive office and they proclaimed that they needed it to help further development or whatever bullshit reason they stated it was for.

But yeah they can just do whatever they want and fools will still throw down their money, even though they probably will almost never know where all of it will go to. I won’t be surprised if some of the money is making one guy rich. I wouldn’t be surprised if the money is used to funnel some political campaign. Something. We won’t ever know, but because this project is technically playable, they just throw up their arms being like “what? it’s still developing! we just need more time and money!”.

It is projects like Star Citizen, that has made me have an extremely soured perspective with early access projects. One other game that came to mind was 7 Days to Die, I remember getting that through Humble Monthly. At that time, the game was like 5 years in development and was still in the alpha stages.

It went through numerous changes, both unnecessary and unneeded while progressing. But the years kept piling up. I think it is now fully released but it still doesn’t look 100%. It just lacked what direction it really wanted to go and even then I thought that project was grifting people who bothered supporting it.
